Ashtanga Mysore This is the traditional method as first taught in India, where students learn individually at their own pace within a group class. The instructor guides the new student first through Sun Salutations and progressively adds standing, seated and finishing postures.The instructor adjusts students individually as they practice together. Ashtanga Led All students are guided collectively in these classes. ASHTANGA FOUNDATION- A slower paced class with more verbal instruction, and emphasis on the foundations of the Ashtanga Series, suitable for beginners or students preferring more guidance. The students will be led through a part of the Primary Series. ASHTANGA LED PRIMARY - A faster paced class, where students are led through the entire Primary Series of postures. Suitable for those with prior Ashtanga experience. Restorative/Gentle Yoga Cultivate the ability to surrender in this passive, refreshing yoga practice. Restorative yoga allows relaxation using simple yoga postures and helps to let go of holding patterns and stress. these classes focus especially on opening hips, pelvis, upper back and shoulders. Every class will finish with simple breathing techniques. Breathwork/Pranayama The breath links the body to the mind. In these sessions, learn to extend and work with the breath, which ultimately leads to a peaceful state of mind. The Pranayama practices taught are based on the classical approach from the Hatha Yoga Pradipika. Students will learn breathing techniques as a group, and will be guided individually in developing their own practice. |
